Cronic caugh is killing 86 yro friend
He has gone through a battery of tests....no result. My question revloves aroung enviormental issues. He lives in a 30 year old log house like you see in the log homes advertizements with many ledges to collect dust.....maybe mold. Could this be a cause?

There are many possible causes for chronic cough in someone who is 86 years of age. The best idea is for your friend
He should have a chest xray. It might be a bacterial or viral infection. Good luck.
He should see a pulmonologist. If the cough is productive, he needs a sputum culture to determine if their is a bacterial infection. If so, antibiotics are a must.
