Dried Mucus in my nose
My left nostril is almost always impossible to breathe out of unless I scratch at an area a little bit farther back in my nose, which I assume unblocks it from the mucus. I almost always sneeze after doing this too. And after picking at it I am able to blow my nose normally and breathe well, for a little while. But then it returns.

I also had surgery to fix a deviated septum on this side of my nose as well.

Any ideas on what my problem is and how to fix it?

The left nostril blockage you describe may be a recurrence of the deviated septum or a nasal polyp.  It will be necessary for you have your nose examined, ideally by the physician who repaired the deviated septum but, if he/she is not available, examined by your primary care physician.

Whatever is causing the blockage should be correctable.

Good luck
