Flutter in left chest area

I occasionally feel a flutter in the left side of my chest. Happens more often when I lay on my right side but sometimes occurs any time, anywhere.  When it happens, I get the urge to cough, and coughing seems to help stop it.  When laying on my right side, it usually stops when I turn onto my back, but it will occasionally happen then, too.  Feels almost like my heart and lung are sliding against each other! This has happened sporadically for many years.  Several years ago, I wore a heart monitor a couple different times, but (of course) it never happened with the monitor. Thyroid tests were normal. Don’t know if the following have any significance - I have allergies (take Allegra), and also have an occasional sharp pain in my left chest which will go away after a few seconds. Since nothing has ever been diagnosed, I figure it’s probably part of my abnormal internal organs! I was born with one kidney (right side) and a double uterus, and a recent MRI indicated I have a small nodule on my liver which they think I was also born with. I was also told once that my heart seemed larger than normal. Should I be concerned?

You should see a local specialist to get to the bottom of this, even if it only is to tell you there is no problem.
