I just swallowed a piece of soft food (waffle) into my lungs. Deeply inhaling and exhaling hurts now + I have pulsating pain in my chest when breathing normally. The piece of food was about the size of a thumbnail.
It's 10Pm where I live now and I just want to know if I should have this checked by a doctor, even if the pain is no longer present after I wake up tomorrow. Furthermore, what could happen if I do not have it checked by a doctor?
-It's not a sharp pain, it's not something I would need a pain killer for, but it's still very uncomfortable.
-I have not had to cough yet since the moment it went into my lungs.
-Just to repeat, it's a soft piece of food, not a hard one.
