I had a chest xray in March 2008. Have one every 6 months for checkup from breast cancer 4 1/2 years ago. I cracked a ribRib cage pain 2 weeks ago..had an xray and received a call from the clinic, they see "somthing" in my lung and wanted a recent xray to compare to. They got the xray from March, 6 weeks ago, and nothing is there. They are ordering a CT scan. Of course the mind thinks the worst. Has anyone else gone thru this? I have no cough, have not had pneumonia, smoked for maybe 5 years back in the early 1980's....
This recently happened to me. I had a "mass" in my xray that was not on the previous xray and so we did the CT Scan. The CT Scan came back saying the "mass" was consistent with scar tissue, probably from a past infection.
