High eosinophil count
I had an annual physical a couple of weeks ago.  All blood work was normal excepts for high eosinophil count - 31%.  This count has been high for several years, however never this high.  I have had chronic sinus problems for most of my life - sinus surgery in 1993 - then over 3 years ago I started having a chronic productive cough.  Went through lots of tests.  CT scan of sinuses showed problems.  Had surgery in 2007.  Went great, but most problems cleared up from antibiotics and prednisone.  Cough came back.  Prednisone gets me better - usually 1 week or 2 week dose - then about 6 weeks later symptoms come back.  Allergy tests do not show any real allergies.  Not sure if I have had food allergy testing.  Chest X-Rays are always normal.  My left sinus cavity above eye is always the area that shows up problem on CT.  Having some stomach problems now - which I have had on and off for years.  Have had endoscopic procedure a couple of times - last time was about 3 or 4 years ago.  All was good. I did have the H pylori virus about 5 years ago.  Was on treatment for that.

Really frustrated about having no answers.  I am on daily Asthma medication and Astelin nose spray.  Do daily sinus rinse also.

Your history sounds very similar to mine - I have sinus, stomach problem worsening asthma - on/off prednisalone every 8 weeks or so. Also high eosinophils - I am being monitored for churgg-strauss syndrome - a rare disorder so usually under diagnosed
