Hilar Lymph node and Pneumonia

I have had pneumonia 5x's  in 7 to 8 years. This last time I got it I was down for about a month. The first chext xray show a small portionof my rught lung with the pneumonia. I had to go back two weeks after because I still had the persistent cough and a small eleavation of a fever. Another chest xray was ordered. The Doctor stated that I a a swollen Hilar lymph node and recommended me to a pulmonary specialist. Went  to see the Pulmonary specialist, He looked at the chest xrays and stated that he does not know if the lymph node was swollen /enlarged before I got sick, while I was sick or after I got over the pneumonia. He basically told methat I would have to have another xray to see if it went down or increased in size. He said if it increased in size A CT scan wuld have to be done and then a possibility of a biopsy. Does the Pneumonia and the Hilar lymph node  affect each other in some way? Would the pneumonia caused the enlarged Lymph node?
I personally am terrified
