How to help my wife with chronic sinus problem

I am trying to find a remedy from the post I read concerning the drainage, the infections, the coughing , .
My wife is very active, and when this "thing" hits her ... she is out for about two weeks . There must be other husbands who are just as drained by this insidious nasal problems as our wives... we want to help but the helpless feeling is just as debilitating for us as the chronic symptoms are to her.
I am glad to have found this posting page to read what others have tried.

This discussion is related to sinus drainage excessive choking and coughing constant..Ent can\t help.

thank you for your reply. And just started the neti-pot yesterday on advice from a friend of hers.  She likes the results so far.

I did not see the post you referenced but if your wife is dealing with recurrent sinus infections a few things to consider are: see a specialist - an Ears, Nose Throat Doctor, many ENTs now recommend using a saline nasal irrigation system like Neil-Med or a Neti pot - check with doctor first because this isn't always good for people who have ear problems as well. Also, does she have allergies - that is usually worth looking into. Good luck - I understand some of what you are going thru since my son has chronic sinusitis.
