Hello,
I couldn't help but smile when I read your posting. Anyone who has given up cigarettes will sympathise with what you are going through right now.
I used the patches because it gave a steady stream of nicotine and I felt that by using gum/lozenges or inhalers I was perpetuating the craving/smoking thing. It did work for me. If you do use the patches you should get advice either through the doctor or nurse or pharmacy. There are smoking cessation groups you can join that help and monitor your progress. Also in some areas you can get free treatment to quit.
Good luck with your efforts.

ive quit smoking nearly 3 and half mths ago, i used the patches which i found ok but u still have to have willpower. i know hate the smell of people of smoking i cant beleive i used to smell like that. my other half is having more problems trying to pack in he is now trying the tablets but he says he has weird dreams with them a small price to pay if he can pack in with them though.
Hey, I am still not smoking, no cough, nothing, do not know why I do not cough anymore, weird. I am just thinking if Nicotine is not damaging lungs in anyway, I mean Nicotine by itself as a replacement therapy, patches, gums? That is what I am mostly worried about. I feel so sorry for my lungs though, I hope I did not damage them enough to get a lung cancer... or any other lung condition...I can not stand the smoke smell as well and I still feel great!
