MY MOM IS REAL SICK AS YOU ALL KNOW, WELL I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR HEALTH INSURANCE FOR HER FOR A LONG TIME NOW AND I FOUND THAT MEDICAL MUTUAL HAS A CANCER POLICYFOR ONLY 4 DOLLARS A MONTH. IT COVERS EVERYTHING. SHE DOES NOT HAVE LUNG CANCER BUT SHE MIGHT END UP WITH IT, IS THIS THE RIGHT CHOICE?

It can be hard to find health insurance that will cover your mom now that she is sick with emphysema.  She may need to pass a health exam in order to be covered.  Sometimes insurance will not cover care for a pre-existing condition, a health problem that started before being covered by the insurance.  Be sure that the insurance will really cover everything, especially the testing and medicines that your mom needs for her emphysema.  It may only cover cancer treatment.

Dear Friend,
To know what an insurance policy really offers, it is necessary to get a copy of the policy and read it.  The coverage in medical insurance varies greatly.  Many states have Legal Aid or other services which are offered free or at low cost to help you understand the insurance policy, so you can decide whether it truly will meet your mom's needs.
Good luck!
