Is it really asthma?

by srdavis9, Oct 23, 2007 06:39PM
I have been diagnosed with asthma . My peak flow is great and pulmonary function tests are good. I use Asmanex and Singulair and I do respond to broncodilators. However, I still cough up thick stringy yellow mucus. I always thought that if the mucus was yellow that indicated an infection.  Is this really asthma or is it chronic  bronchitis ?
