Supplemental oxygen is the only direct treatment for low oxygen levels, delivered by a mask, nasal prongs or by a breathing machine.

Otherwise the first step, an extremely important first step, should be for her doctors to diagnose the cause of the low oxygen saturation and treat it.  Among the possibilities are blood clots (emboli) to the lungs, fat clots (emboli - these often considered as a possible cause) to the lungs, "bruising" of the lungs, reduced breath volume caused by chest pain secondary to injury to the sternum (breast bone) or ribs, paralysis of a diaphragm, air in the chest (pneumothorax) or partial lung collapse, just to mention a few.  You might run this list past her lung doctor (assuming she has a lung doctor providing care), ask if any of these seem likely and, if he/she thinks not, then ask what is the most likely cause, how does he/she plan to find it and and then treat it.

Do not accept a generic answer such as, "she is probably not taking deep enough breaths."

Good luck
