I took the medication, started feeling better, and the following week I was hit with two severe migraines, including nausea. I do get migraines occasionally but it is quite rare that I get two or more in as short a period as this. I thought this might just be because the z-pack medication is so strong and intense for just 5 days that my body was getting used to not having it. As the week ended, I started seeing more symptoms again, including stuffy/runnny nose, difficulty breathing, sore chest, neck and throat extremely sore from coughing so hard, and continuing to spit up dark green clumps of mucus when I cough.
This last weekend I have been feeling worse, getting fevers and chills again so I am heading back to the doctor again tomorrow I hope.
I am just so frustrated that I have been sick for so long and I just feel too drained to do anything. I typically work out a few times a week and have not felt like I've had the energy or the lung capacity to do any of that. And I rarely get sick! And I have never smoked so that cannot be related at all.
I have tried taking dayquil/nyquil for cold and flu symptoms, as well as cough syrup, vaporizors--even bought a humidifier a few days ago to try to help. I have also been alternating motrin and tylenol to cut my fever and achiness.
