Low O2 during sleeping

My doctor diagnosed me with Bronchitis following a bacterial infection which resulted in deep congestion and horrible wheezing. This situation has been "going around" my area, and several people have it for several weeks. She put me on a nebulizer coupled with antibiotics. Now she has determined I have low O2 levels during sleep (at 83-85) and has sent over a machine for O2 during sleep. The thing is a noisy distraction and has to be in an adjacent room! I have begun walking again, as I was more or less idol following a four level fusion in my neck last March. My fusion is now over 80% complete and I've been told I could walk. I feel that given the fact I've never had asthma, bronchitis, or other lung difficulties, once I begin to exercise again after such a long period of doing nothing, my lung situation will be resolved. I have not seen nor been diagnosed by a Pulmonary specialist.

This discussion is related to low oxygen level while sleeping.

I think it would be good to see a specialist at this point...he or she would run more test to make sure that there isn't anything underlying going on besides recovering from an infection. I too hope that with time your oxygen levels get better. Sunny
