Lung Nodule

Back in June of 2007 I had a c/scan and it found a lung nodule of 2mm on my right lung. I went to a specialist and he had me take another c/scan in Oct. The results stated the nodule was stable and no change in size has occurred. The Dr. then told me no further monitoring of the nodule was necessary. When I first saw him in June he stated it would have to be watched and rechecked for two years, if no change than it would be considered benign. I am 53 y/o non smoker, back in 2001 I was assigned to the Trade Center for a couple of days after the attacks. Do you feel I should seek another opnion or is he correct in not wanting to follow up on this nodule ?

Hi, it seems that the nodule is benign. But, i personnally feel that a repeat CT scan after 6 months should be done. It will further confirm the diagnosis and will decrease your apprehension.
