Lung cancer at 19

by i11z, Nov 06, 2008 09:28PM
I have asthma since a young age never used my inhaler, I've been smoking since I was 10 years old. Off and on. About 13 - 15 smoked alot of weed almost everyday, took a break for about 8 months maybe. Then about 16-18 or even 19 I was an everyday smoker of weed and when I turned 18 started smoking ciggarrettes everyday. I have chest pain everyday. I have shortness of breath everyday. I don't wheeze, I don't cough, only when I smoke. I had an asthma attack at 19 which led to me going to the ER again and them diagnosing me with Anxiety. I stopped smoking everything and i've been clean for 2 months but I still have chest pain and shortness of breath. I use my albueterol inhaler which they gave me and It still seems like I cant breathe but the doctors say my lungs are fine. They took an x ray when I first went to the doctor and they were clean and healthy. But I think the anxiety is taking control and I keep feeling like I have lung cancer. Is it possible to have lung cancer at 19? My heart checks out normal so no pain there. When I smoked cigs it was probably 2 packs a day not including the weed. its been 2 months and i still show the same symptoms and I might have coughed out blood today, but it was very small so I couldnt tell it was just red. But I ate hot cheetos the same day so I have no clue. Just give me an answer or tell me im ok. That would be great.

I have the same thing. Its just uncontrollable anxiety. Make a commitment to yourself to change the way you think everyday. Just disconnect your thoughts. Stop question everything unconciously. Thing positive things all the time, breath slowly and deeply and just relax, until this becomes a suboncious thing and in a week or less of a bit of time and effort, itll go away by itself. This is coming from someone who felt all the same things you were feeling, probably worse, and beat the **** out this stupid anxiety. If its really bad try asking your doctor to prescribe medication to help, but dont depend on this stuff. They helped me but I have been off them for a year now thanks to good feelings and breathing excercises alone. Hope that helps.
