Lung pain

by nmjsoccer2, Sep 24, 2007 02:53PM
A little over a week ago I ended up in an immediate care facility because of a bad cough, shortness of breath, coughing up flem (phlegm), tiredness & a few other symptoms & I left the hospital diagnosed with Pneumonia & they gave me and antibiotic & told me to check up with my physician in a few days. A few days later I went back to the doctor & he said that I don't have pneumonia & I just have bronchitis, even though the hospital took a chest x-ray that showed pneumonia infecting my left lung. The doctor told me to get off my pneumonia medications & gave me a bronchitis medication. After that was over my cough was still bad & I still had all the same symptoms as before, so he gave me a cough syrup, which still isn't working. Then recently I started to get a really bad pain on my left side when I cough or move or do anything, & I am pretty sure it is my lung. Any suggestions on what it could be? If the hospital says I have pneumonia & a chest x-ray shows it, could my doctor be wrong? What could the pain be?
