Maybe Gerd, but I'm not sure

by katmcm999, Aug 15, 2008 01:40PM
I see all of your symptoms about GERD, but mine seem to be at other times, with different symptoms, etc.

My main cause of concern now is breathing....it's like I can't get enough air into my lungs to "satisfy" me.  And I'm constantly (more so every day) clearning my throat.  I'm not coughing, and none of this happens at night (in fact, I most relaxed at night).  It happens all day long while I'm at work.  The breathing is the worst.

I went to the doctor yesterday and she said my lungs were great (great expansion, no wheezing or anything else). She said it might be a hiatal hernia.  She put me on 30 days' worth of Protonix.  I'm on day 2 and don't feel better at all (in fact, I think my breathing is worse).  So is the CONSTANT clearing of my throat.

Any advice/help?  I'm really concerned.

Thanks.
