Metal tasting phlegm
I am recovering from a long bout of something (pertussis, pneumonia ??)a bad cough that lasted about a month.  I feel better but my cough is starting to return and everytime I cough up anything it tastes like metal.   Any ideas what this metallic taste could mean?

Thanks

I would suggest seeing a Doctor because there may be blood in your sputum, that tends to have a sort of metallic taste to it. Pneumonia has a tendency to recur sometimes within a few months, and if it has you will need antibiotics. Regardless, it is something you should have checked out. Good luck!
