Mild shortness of breath that comes and goes?

In June, I was removing a 10 year old carpet  out of the bedroom and and then cutting and bagging  it up. Since then, I have been getting mild breathlessness that comes and goes. It started out really bad in which, I was gasping quite a lot for the first few week or two and it subsided a bit and went mild and in August completely went away but I started looking for the problem again. Since around September, It's been mild that comes and goes. I don't cough or wheeze, I also don't smoke.
