Mrs.

I am a 62 year old woman recently released from the hospital for pleurisy pnenmonia.My lung exray shows scaring. I am now experencing a heavy chest feeling and a shortness of breath.Does this require immediate attention

If it were me, Id probably go have it looked at yes, particularly with your recent infection. Scarring is very common with infection, but I know in my experince it can either resolve over time or doctors at times call white areas on x-ray films 'scarring' that isnt the same type of scars you have on your skin. I frequently have x-rays, CT's and MRI's due to now in remission lymphoma,, and Iv also been told I had scarring on one side of my lungs that completely disappeared in the span of about 3 months. (time between one test and the next).
