Hi,
My son is 11yrs old. Since he was 8 years old he used to have a bad pain running during gym and playing atlunch time.He used to have a bad pain in the center of the chest near the diaphragm, just where the stomach starts between the last two ribs. Took him to allergist,(my son has some allergies) he said my son has Exercise Induced Asthma,he gave him singulair and the ventolin it did not help.Had all the test done for EI Asthma all test came out negative. Took him to gastroenterologist he told us maybe my son has GERD, my son took Prevacid for month the problem did not go away. Went to an ENT he said my son has enlarged adenoids (adenoids) we have to get them out. Went to another ENT to take a lokk at his vocal cords. He said they were fine.
Lately it has gotten worse my son does not breathe through his nose because he says his chest hurts when he breathes.
Please I hope somebody could help me. I am really at the end of my wits. My son cannot be normal. He watches his friends play at lunch time and he cannot join them. Lately, he has started breathing through his mouth.
I would really appreciate it if somebody could let me know what they think might be wrong.

Thanks
A lost mother

It is evident that this pain is not due to a problem in your son’s upper airway, or his stomach, or asthma.  The only area that you have not tried is a cardiologist.  It is possible, although very unlikely, that your son’s problem is related to referred pain from the heart.

Have You taken your son to a chiropractor I have had more than one Friend that has had chest pain that was cured by an adjustment it is easy to tell if the spine is out of allinement softly run your index and middle finger from neck to bottom of rib cage along the spinal track if it is not a even and smooth feeling then he may have a subluxation that is pinching nerves that are causing the pain and it gets worse the tighter the musles get during exersise
