Nodule concern

I was diagnosed with 3mm nodules in my right lung, Doctors don't tell me how many there are but they are there. Now my question is, these were found through a Cat Scan,  I just had an xray today, and I'm not a doctor, but saw the xray and saw two circles in my lung,  The doctor who spoke to me, was not my family doctor, but he asked alot of questions, like when my next cat scan will be, When am I going to see my doctor. I was afraid to ask him if in fact that's what I saw. My question is, How big does a nodule have to be to be visible on an xray. I know a cat scan is more advance and can detect more but it's they are clearly visible on an xray, should therebe a concern?

This discussion is related to small lung nodules.
