On/off cough and rattling in chest

Hello.  I have had a cough on and off since December.  Have been on Avelox twice.  Was diagnosed with Pleurisy in January.  Was on Naproxen for that.  It has cleared up, but the cough was still present about once a week.  Had a chest xray which was clear.  Saw the Dr 2 weeks ago.  Told me that the wheezing was not very bad, that I have a virus that's going around and it's just gonna take time to go away.  Gave me Proventil and I've been taking Robitsusin.  Seemed to help.  Caught the flu last week and while it's over, still have the cough every few days and have a wheeze/rattle in the bottom of my lungs that I can feel at times when I breathe.  It's not ALWAYS there, just a few times a day.  From what I have written can you give me a suggestion of what this could be????
Thank you so much!
Melissa
