by pradips, Dec 06, 2007 02:58PM
I have emphysema. While excericing o treadmill, my oxygen level dropps to 74 at the heart rate of 132 to 135.  Is 74 oxygen level ox for 30 to 60 minute cardio excercise period?

You don't want your O2 level to get below 88. That's the golden number before you need supplemental oxygen. You should see your doctor or pulmonologist and have a six minute walk to see if you need to be on O2. If you already are then it should be raised to keep your saturation up.
You can damage other vital organs with it so low.
