Pain in Chest

by pyrocat100, Sep 17, 2007 12:55AM
A couple years back on a rare occasion I would get this pain in the left side of my chest, almost exactly where my left breast is. It was a clamping pain and it would hurt a lot and hurt even worse when I tried to breath in and it was hard to get any oxygen in because it hurt so much. After a few attempts of trying to take air in the pain would go away and I'd be able to breath again.

This hasn't happened in a long time, but just this evening it did happen again. I'm a type 1 diabetic and 21 years of age. Back when I had the pains more frequently I was in bad health, but now I'm healthy and my BG's are always good, but before I had the chest pain this evening my BG was higher then normal and I also ate recently before it happened and I took a bath too...I'm just wondering if there's anything wrong or if any of the things I did before could've triggered it? I'd appreciate any advice on what the pain could be. Thank you.
