Pneumonia and Extreme Fatigue
My 79 yo father was admitted to the hospital on 3/1 for confusion, lack of appetite, and fatigue.  He was diagnosed with pneumonia, a UTI, and dehydration.  He had a bad reaction to one of the meds (steroid)-- they think-- and became very disoriented for a few days.  He was discharged on Monday (two days ago).  Since then, he sleeps nearly constantly, getting up only briefly to eat (still not eating well).  He is weak, too.  Doesn't seem to be coughing as much.  Is this amount of fatigue normal?  How long will this last? He has a history of bipolar disorder, too, if that helps.  Thanks.
