Pneumonia?

my gf has pneumonia, and since she's been in the hospital for 2 weeks now her lungs collapse 2 days ago, i heard alot of people get over pneumonia in about a month. her family told me that her lungs are doing better know but her blood pressure is to high. my question is, is it a normal process for some one that goes thru pneumonia to be going thru all this
