Preliminary Results of Needle Biopsy
gc1
Doctor performed needle biopsy Tuesday 6/5 and said Preliminary result showed positive for Cancer. (This is a 1 CM nodule in left  lung upper lobe but lower end.) but it could still be something else. Also said remainder of lungs look very healthy.

Is it normal to give preliminary result immediately after needle Biopsy? How do they tell priliminarily what it might be? This was the doctor that did the biopsy not my Primary. Still waiting for official results to come in from Primary. If cancer what would next steps be?

Thanks
