My father is a survivor of colon cancer. Unfortunately he has complications from that and/or chemotherapy. He has blood clotsBlood clots in his lungs that haven't dissolved yet (They've tried WarfarinWarfarin Warfarin sodium, heparinHeparin Heparin sodium Heparin sodium-sodium chloride, etc.). He was not accepted as a candidate for surgery to remove the clotsBlood clots as they are too deep in his lungs. He said the doctor said his is a part of 2% of people who do not have the enzyme to dissolve clotsBlood clots. Is there anything out there (even clinical meds) that could dissolve them? I've been researching tPA and was wondering if this might be something he could try.....but it sounds like it needs to be administered immediately upon the clotBlood clots happening? Is there anything for clots that are still just hanging in the lungs? I have his blood type....and if I have the enzyme to dissolve blood clots could I transfuse blood with him? Sorry for so many questions....I am searching.
Thank you,
Lorii
