Pulmonary Embolism

by DMS0904, Jan 21, 2009 02:40PM
Hello,
My husband has been diagnosed w/a saddle pulmonary embolism. This occurred while on a blood thinner (Coumadin). He is now considered a "Coumadin failure" and must take Lovenox shots daily. However, they are extremely expensive (our cost after insurance pays is over $900 per month).

I'm sure that I'm not the first person to have this issue of needing a drug, but being unable to pay for it. Does anyone have experience with possibly ordering meds from Canada or any organizations that are available to help deflect some of the costs of these shots?

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.
