Reactive Airway disease

by sickies, Jun 16, 2008 01:11AM
Hi! so I am always very sick, I keep a simple cold for ages and it commonly turns into Bronchitis  over and over. I have sinus infections and I have had one swollen gland for as long as i can remember.  Recently, I went in to the doctor and they diagnosed me with reactive airway disease.  I was wondering if this is the cause that I continue to get sick, and why my colds never go away.  And also, why my doctor only gave me inhalers to help with my lungs and nothing prevent infections?  Also, my cousin has similar issues and she was diagnosed with it as well...2 weeks after me.  We have different doctors and both gave us inhalers and that was it.  But we both get Bronchitis  over and over, same with sinus infections and common colds. I was wondering what my doctor should be giving me? How serious this should be handled and why my cousin could possibly have it too..oh and as well if the doctors are just tellngs us we have the disease because they dont really know whats wrong with us...
thanks sorry for the novel!
