Recurring sore throat

by FrankMalarkey, Mar 30, 2008 08:23PM
About three weeks ago, I came down with a sore throat, a 103 fever, and a bad cough/sneeze. My doctor took a regular strep test (Which came back negative), and gave me an antibiotic which lasted five days. At the end of the five days, I got 1-2 day break from the sore throat. Afterwards, the sore throat came back, but without the other symptoms. Again, this last 4 days, and then stopped for a day or two. It returned, and I'm starting my third sore throat cycle now. The base of my tongue gets sore whenever I move it to the far left or far right Anyone know what is going on?
