Respiratory Problem

by vipuljain, Feb 15, 2008 10:43PM
My mother (Age 50) underwent with an 3rd open heart valve surgery on 21st December, 2007. The surgery was successful but when doctos put off the ventilator from her due to weakness she got the respiratory problem and doctors used trucosmy to cure the respiratory problem. Doctors used 13 days ventilator. After that she got the lungs infection. Now After 2 months they told us that lung infection is cured but she is still having respiratory problem. Due to weakness she is not able to take cough out of her. They suggested us that we should purchase a bio pipe machine and a suction machine and take her into home because they are doing same thing in the hospital. Please suggest me what should be done in this regard? Should we purchase the machines or it can be cured by medicines and if it is possible through medicines then which medicine should be used.
