Dear Lung Line nurses:
Does Nat'l Jewish have any laryngologists &/or neurologists on their staff, or who they can refer patients to, who are experienced at diagnosing and treating a supposedly "rare" condition called Respiratory type of Adductor Spasmodic
DysphoniaHoarseness ? (This is sometimes called Respiratory type of Adductor
LaryngealCancer - throat or larynx
Laryngeal nerve damage Dystonia).
If yes, what are the treatment choices? (anything in addition to
botoxBotox
Botox cosmetic injections?)
Also, if a patient had possible previous surgical complications, such as damage done to the vagus
nerveNerve biopsy
Nerve conduction velocity, &/or damage to vocal cords from endotracheal tube intubation, does Nat'l Jewish have any experience trying to
correctCorrect (new formula) the previous damage that could be causing severe VCD now?
Thanks in
advanceAdvance care plus
Advance relief. You all provide an excellent service to suffering patients!
