Ring shadow on chest X ray what could this be??

My mother had a fall in which her chest took the full force.  She went for an x ray and the results said "Ring shadow adjacent to left hilum".  Could this be as a result of trauma to the lung from the fall?  She must have another x ray in 3 months.  Chest specialist said he couldn't explain it.

It is possible that this is related to the fall and is due to swelling that was a result of the fall.  A repeat film in 3 months will help explain this finding.
