Salty taste in phlegm
The doctor has checked my lungs, heart, blood, blood pressure and says that everything seems fine apart from the neutrophils in my blood show a possible low grade infection somewhere. I have had a cough for some time with salty phlegm, only slightly salty but enough to detect it is not normal. I have never smoked, do not drink but I do get ecszema around my mouth alot plus eyelid swelling and irritating so the doc says he thinks I have a food intolerance.  Because I have joint swelling and pain too. But would this cause the cough and salty taste?
