Hi, I am 42 female , smoker
Over the past three days I have had constant pain in my right shoulder blade wrapping around to under my armpit.
It hurts more when I inhale, cough, hiccup or sneeze
At first I thought I pulled a muscle and took painkillers which don't help.
I can't sleep as it hurts every time I move.
It feels like someone has punched me really hard but then I get stabbing pains when inhaling.
I am breathing shorter breathes.
It could be a muscle spasm, but as you are having difficulty and more pain with breathing and the fact that you have a cough I suggest you make an appointment to see your doctor. As the symptoms could be related to a lung infection.
