My mother is 80. She has been having shortness of breath and some dizziness after minimal exertion. Just walking from the bedroom to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee causes her extreme fatigue and shortness of breath. She can't even walk to the mailbox to get her mail. The last chest xray she had was fine. She's had a stress test and it was normal for a woman her age. She's had a mri of her head and it was fine. The shortness of breath seems to come and go. She'll have trouble with it for a couple of weeks and then, feel pretty good for a month or so and then, it comes back. What could this possibly be? Her doctor's have not really been much help to solve this. Any suggestions would be very appreciated. Thanks
