Singulair in infants
My 11 month old infant was prescribed Singulair during the cold season because he has had multiple episodes of  bronchitis/Reactive Airway Disease. We have had 4 times during his life where we had to treat him with a neublizer and albetrol. My question is Singulair really safe? Would it be better for him to be on Singulair than being treated with the albetrol everytime he needs it? The only time he really needs treatment is during a cold. The wheezing isn't horrible & he doesn't have a problem when he doesn't have a cold. I am worried about the potential side effects of treating him so young. I'm worried about him developing some tolerance towards the medicine and it may be ineffective later. Thank you for your advice!
