Sore Throat w/o Other Symptoms

by Reeses Pieces, Mar 13, 2004 12:00AM
On February 18 I went to my Dr. with a fever, body aches, sore throat (very) and slight earache. He looked at my ear and said I had an infection starting, then looked at my throat and said it was strep (there were white sores). I started antibiotics. My throat quit hurting in a day or two but my ear changed to feeling like it had cotton in it and hurt on occassion. I took the amoxicillan for the full ten days but my ear still bothered me. Then my throat started getting sore again. So now, March 13, my ear feels pretty much normal, I do not have a cough or fever nor do I have a stuffy or runny nose but my throat continues to hurt! I can't figure out why or when I need another office visit (it would be a finacial hardship). Please help.

I would recommend calling your doctor to discuss this problem.  Your doctor may recommend another course of antibiotics or do nothing right now.
