Hi, blood in sputum could be due to bronchitis, but also to lung neoplasm, aspergilloma, tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, coccidioidomycosis, pulmonary embolism etc.

Sometimes, mucosal injury to bronchial lining due to viral infections could also lead to blood in sputum. Please get yourself investigated ( chest X ray, sputum examination, ESR).
