Throat nodules or unknown growths?

I have small nodule or growth on the back of my throat that I just dislodged with a butterknife.  I noticed it while brushing my teeth at the back of my throat.  It is pale in color, soft and disentegrated easily with touch.  I have noticed recently other occurances where a nodule was forced off from time-to-time when I cough.  They smell bad.  They remind me in color and texture to a macaroni & cheeze noodle.  There's no pain or other symptom that I notice.  Any ideas?

Of course I'm not a doctor but it might also be a tonsil stone. Google it. They are what you describe and are foul smelling and develop in crypts in the tonsils. :)

From the description, this sounds like a superficial throat infection, most likely with the fungus called Candida Albicans, the oral infection typically called Thrush.  This is seen, as you describe yours:  creamy which patches, anywhere on the tongue, mouth or throat.  These can easily be removed by scraping and the diagnosis made when the material is examined with a microscope.  The treatment  typically involves the application of medication directly to the mouth, tongue and throat, but sometimes oral medication is required.

This condition can occur in healthy individuals, usually on antibiotics, or in individuals whose immune system is compromised.
