Weird chest pains/breathing

by EmGA, Jun 04, 2009 01:12AM
I have been having trouble breathing for the past few days- my chest feels extremely tight, especially when I walk.  Taking deep breaths hurt and breathing in general is uncomfortable.  I keep feeling a dull pain in my chest between my breasts, as well as a tingling feeling under my chin, like I need to vomit.  This has been coupled with a very low-grade headache.  This started not long after I swam in the pool and felt a stabbing feeling in my forehead every time I went underwater, but I have no idea if these are related.
I'm 18, so my parents/friends keep telling me that I have 'growing pains', yet I hit puberty around 12 and haven't grown since I was 15.  I've never been asmatic, although last year I frequently had difficulting breathing during anxiety attacks.  This has gone away though in recent months, and I haven't been under stress in the last few weeks until I started feeling pains.
Am I freaking out over nothing, or do I need to see a doctor?
