You make very certain that you always tell surgeons, etc. that you had this problem. You are highly allergic. I have the same problem with anything that has aspirinAspirin Aspirin adult low strength Aspirin child chewable Aspirin children's cherry Aspirin children's orange Aspirin ec lo-dose Aspirin enteric coated Aspirin lite coat Aspirin litecoat Aspirin low dose Aspirin low strength in it. My 27 yr. old daughter is very allergic to sulfa. Many people are allergic to things like you, me, etc. But, it is up to us, to stress what we are allergic to. And just pray someone does not mess it up in the process. Medical profession does make mistakes. You will possibly need another surgery. If I were you, I would keep saying what you are allergic to and what happened to you, due to this allergic reaction. And say it as many times, as is necessary. It should be recorded in your charts, that you are allergic to bacitracin. But, always remind the nurses, doctors, surgeons that you are allergic to this. Things do get overlooked in charts. I do understand your concern. I wish you the very best outcome on this.
