Whats wrong with me

HI. Im 21/M (22 in april) since the age off about 11-12 I start developing asthma like symptons and has gradually got worse and worse to the point im at now where I take Seretide 500 twice a day, Ventolin whenever I need it usually once or twice a day,Singulair once a day and Phylicontin once a day. My condition hasnt really improved and I have done every test but they cant pinpoint anything only that I have severe asthma however I feel there is something deeper. I have never once got an asthma attack how could this be? I can never inhale a full breath without having to yawn or open my mouth in weird ways it like something just opens in my chest when I get a full breath in, Its very awkward to sit still for long periods or be at a dentist etc. The only time when I can take a deep breath is when I do this "yawn". After drinking alcohol at the weekend on the monday I always find it worse to breath also?? I feel like this from when I wake up till I go to bed again and it nevers seems to go away im constantly "sighing" or clearing my throat just to get a breath in. Any ideas?

Ive been to a specialist but been from southern Ireland there not the best around here. Is it possible for me to go all this time (assuming I have asthma) and not to get an asthma attack? The only medication I feel that actually does anyhting is the ventolin but maybe I just dont realise the others working in the background. I dont have anxiety issues even if I didnt realise I had surely my condition wouldnt have stayed the same for this period of time. Sometimes I wonder how I manage to sleep because during the day I feel like I would die or suffocate if I couldnt yawn yet I often wonder how I do this when Im asleep as I rarely wake up with breathing problems during the night???

I've recently started having breathing problems and I know how you feel.  I haven't been diagnosed with asthma, but it runs in my family.  Here's the thing.  It sorta sounds like your medicines could be slowing your breathing down as well.  I'm not sure if that's true, but you should ask your doctor.  I can only get deep breaths when I yawn.

Another thing - it's worse when you drink because you are mixing alcohol with other drugs.  I can't drink anymore or I feel really bad the next day.  Have you seen any new specialists?  You are awfully young to be having these problems.

Are you certain you don't have anxiety issues rather than actual constricted bronchioles?  Like, there's no possibility that you have been misdiagnosed all of this time?
