White Mucus, Bad Smell, Ears Pop

by lukin86ln, Jul 10, 2007 03:03PM
I am currently enduring a bizarre head cold which is affecting my sinuses and respiration. I have had this cold for over a week now, and it has demonstrated weird symptoms. The first thing I notice is the coloration of my mucus is white, something that I have never encountered before. It is also thick in content and frequent. After I blow the white mucus out of my nose, I can smell lingering mucus in my nose and it has a weird scent (which although I cannot compare to another scent, it is not a good smell). I never remember my mucus to even have an odor at all. In addition, sometimes when blowing me nose, my ears either pop or feel to clog. Although I haven't visited a doctor personally, I did recieve Amoxycillin which I've been taking and Mucinex DM to thin the mucus and supress my chronic coughing. Is there anyone out there with a suggestion to help end this bad cold? Or any others who have experienced this and can help?
