White pea sized chunks from throat

I have read some on these "white chunks" and most say its either crypt tonsils or from people who have chronic sinusitis, Does anyone know exactly it is or if I should go get checked out or antibiotics to help them? some have also suggested tonsillectomy as a sure way to get rid of this issue. Also can tonsillectomy some how help my chronic sinusitis?

They are called "tonsilloliths", and wikipedia and the new york times online have informative articles on the subject.
