White shadow on upper right lung..

by kels8, Mar 23, 2008 10:14PM
My Mother is a 54 year old white female..average weight...big Coffee drinker....she also smokes around 1 pk a day of ciggarettes.has almost steadily for over 30 years.....one month  ago she came down with her yearly bout of Broncitis and Pluerisy..it has since gotten better and she was only left with a slight cough sometimes with yellow green sputum and a nagging achy sometimes sharp pain in her lower left lung...she also stated that she has a tingly creepy crawly feeling on her back...she went to the doctor on Friday 3/21/08 and they listened to her lungs...they sounded clear....then they did a chest xray...they found a white rounded shadow in her upper right lung...she is scheduled for a CT tomorrow 3/24/08 to find out what it for sure is?  She is a sufferer of mitral valve prolapse,Fibrosystic disease and Syncapea(sp)  we have no cancer in our family as far back as we can remember....we are very worried about this..I also might point out she is the owner of an adult group home and is around many ppl every day....what are her risks? She has had many negative TB tests...doubt that that is a cause....we are thinking scar tissue or error of technition(very fast girl she was) Doctors didnt seem scared...but they never are..they gotta make u feel comfortable...do u really think it could be cancer..considering her pros and cons? please help we are all worried sick about her..:) thanks in advance and god bless..!
