Can you please explain these results ... is it good or bad? Here is what the xray report reads: "PORTABLE UPRIGHT CHEST. HISTORY: AspirationAspiration Bone marrow aspiration Joint aspiration Lung needle biopsy Meconium aspiration syndrome Skin lesion aspiration Synovial fluid analysis Thoracentesis COMPARISON EXAMINATION: (3 days earlier) FINDIINGS: A nasogastic tube is present. Heart measures slightly enlargedEnlarged adenoids Enlarged prostate. An infiltrate is noted behind the heart on the left side. Discoid think strands are now present in the left base. A coarsening of lung markings is seen in the right lower lung zone. On the previous examination a coarsening of all lung markings is present. IMPRESSION: Nasogastric tube in place. Interval inprovement in aeration. Coarsening right lower lung zone. Infiltrate and thick discoid atelectasis left base." ----- end. My question ... Would these be considered pre-stages for pnuemonia (pneumonia)? Also, shortness of breathBreath alcohol test Breath holding spell Breath odor, low o2 level and tempature are also present.
